Ron Slaby, Senior Scientist and Bullying Prevention Specialist leads an interactive interview with special guests: Chad Rose, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Special Education at Sam Houston State University; and Ed Donnelly, M.Ed., and former headmaster of Boston Public Schools Brook Farm Academy. Participants hear what the research has to say as well as what experience has shown on how schools can strengthen partnerships among administrators, counselors, teachers, parents, and students with and without disabilities to ensure that all students have the opportunity to learn in a bullying-free environment. Webinar participants gain an understanding of the nature and extent of bullying involving students with disabilities, learn about legal and professional responsibilities for school personnel to address bullying involving students with disabilities, and discuss effective strategies and innovative approaches to stop and prevent bullying involving students with disabilities.
