This is not a CSN event. Please contact the organization in charge of the event if you have any questions.

May is Mental Health Month and ASTHO would like to invite you to participate in a webinar hosted in conjunction with the National Council for Behavioral Health highlighting an evidence-based training program at the intersection of public and behavioral health education: Mental Health First Aid USA®. Since 2008, more than 500,000 individuals in the United States have participated in this 8-hour course which teaches community members how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. State, tribal, and local Public Health Departments are already implementing Mental Health First Aid® in communities across the country. Webinar participants will:

  • Learn the foundational principles of Mental Health First Aid USA®
  • Review lesson learned from public health departments who have implemented Mental Health Fist Aid® training in their community
  • Discuss integrated public and mental health education and opportunities for future expansion of Mental Health First Aid® among state, tribal, and local health departments

If you currently engage with Mental Health First Aid USA® or would like to learn more about how to bring this innovative prevention tool to your health department, join on Monday, May 23, 2016 from 3:30pm-4:30pm ET.
