As kids head back to school and back to sports, please join us for the 2nd webinar in the South to Southwest Injury Prevention Network's series on Communicating about Injury and Violence prevention. This webinar will feature the CDC's Heads Up campaign, which is focused protecting kids and teens from concussion and other serious brain injuries.

Kelly Sarmiento, MPH is a health communications specialist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Division of Unintentional Injury Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia. Over the last nine years, Kelly has lead CDC's Heads Up campaign, a national and award-winning education effort focused on raising awareness and improving prevention, recognition, and response to traumatic brain injuries, including concussion. Kelly has a Masters of Public Health from Yale University School of Epidemiology and Public Health, and a BA in Anthropology and a BA in Spanish from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
