This State Technical Assistance Webinar focused on how Title V agencies can develop a knowledgeable, skilled workforce able to implement new programs and innovations. .Workforce development is a key component of successful change strategies and projects in all aspects of our work.  However, identifying the knowledge and skills gaps can be difficult.

Erin Ficker, MPAff, co-manager of the Child Safety Learning Collaborative and Sudden Unexpected Infant Death Prevention specialist at the Children’s Safety Network, will lead us through this very important discussion.  We discussed how Title V agencies can work to identify, assess, and meet the needs of their diverse workforce.  We explored the variety of state structures used to disseminate innovations from the state to the community level and how to consider workforce development within those structures.  Many state representatives shared their reflections on who they considered to be part of their workforce and whether they engage in workforce development beyond their immediate teams.
